Naturally, wind energy developers are very interested in the energy that can be extracted from the wind, and how this varies by location. Wind is ubiquitous, and in order to make the choice of potential project sites an affordable and manageable process, some indication of the relative size of the ‘wind resource’ across an area is very useful. The wind resource is usually expressed as a wind speed or energy density, and typically there will be a cut-off value below which the energy that can be extracted is insufficient to merit a wind farm development. The best, most accurate indication of the wind resource at a site is through on-site measurement, using an anemometer and wind vane.

The first step in any wind project is the initial site assessment to verify the suitability of the site for planned wind turbines. Site evaluation involves the collection of meteorological data (measurement), processing (calculations) and interpretation. A full report on the wind measurement for 12-24 months is the only real justification for project viability, as it reflects the parameters on which depends turbines productivity. Our measurement systems are equipped with high quality sensors produced by well-known companies according to the IEC 61400 12 1 (Wind Turbine Power Performance Testing 12 2005), MEASNET (Cup anemometer Calibration Procedure 2009-10), ISO 3966 (Measurement of fluid in closed conduits 2008-07) and WMO standards. Our system data logger is a high precision compact and easy to handle data logger and it is a leading product worldwide for meteorological and wind power and solar applications. We can transmit measuring data via PSTN, GSM, GPRS or satellite protocols.

All Products of our solutions are carefully designed for the most precise and accurate measurement of wind Masts, measuring systems, as well as all accessories are carefully constructed according to the most recent recommendations of the international norm IEC 61400 to assure the most precise and unaffected measurement possible.
Each part of our mast can be customized to meet even the most extraordinary requests, the highest demands or suit the most challenging environment. Sensors: Paraye offers all sensors needed for ambitious high quality measurements: first class anemometers with MEASNET-Calibration, wind vanes, sensors for temperature, humidity and pressure.
Data logger: To record the signals provided by the sensors Paraye offers a variety of different data loggers of well-known manufacturers, which are programmed and configured by Paraye according to the specific demands of each project.
Communication via GPRS or satellite: Paraye offers different solutions to communicate with the meteo masts and to transfer the wind data to the customer’s servers if available GPRS will be used, but for remote sites without network connection we developed a communication solution via satellite connection.
Power supply: For autonomous operation even at very remote sites Paraye provides solutions for independent power supply based on solar power.
Masts: From 10 m to 140 m height include data cables, guy wires, set of bolts and ground anchors, specially designed for precise wind measurement according to the international standard IEC 61-400. For energy yield studies, wind potential studies, power curve measurements etc.
Aviation lights: Each Paraye masts can be equipped with aviation lights according to the FAA and ICAO guidelines, a single small light on top of the mast as well as complex lighting on different levels with lights of different intensity.
